Successful difficult conversations

Making the most of the holidays

You made it! Another term of leading, inspiring, and making a difference in the lives of your children and staff. And let’s be honest—school leadership isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s tough, relentless, and full of challenges.

But it’s also full of wins—big and small—that happen because of you. The culture you shape. The belief you instill. The impact you make.

So as you step into the Easter break, I hope you celebrate all you’ve achieved. Take time to rest, recharge, and do something that brings you joy—you deserve it!

Here are three ways to truly make the most of your break:

1️⃣ Switch Off Guilt-Free – You’ve given your all this term. Now give yourself permission to rest. The school will be there when you get back.

2️⃣ Do Something Just for You – A walk, a great book, uninterrupted time with loved ones—whatever fills your cup.

3️⃣ Reflect on the Wins – Leadership moves fast. Take a moment to recognize the difference you’ve made this term—you’ll be surprised how much there is to celebrate!
