It’s that week.
It’s that month.
SATs are about to begin.
GCSEs and A-Levels are already in full swing.
And we all know what that feels like as a headteacher.
But remember:
You’ve already done more than you realise.
You’ve steadied teams through another relentless term.
You’ve held true on behaviour, on curriculum, on culture.
You’ve shown up for children who needed you.
Now is not the time to doubt.
It’s the time to trust what you’ve built.
This season has its own rhythm — intense, focused, demanding —
but underneath it all is solid preparation met with calm.
You’ve prepared pupils.
You’ve prepared staff.
You’ve prepared systems.
But more than that — you’ve built confidence.
So let this be your reminder today:
You are capable.
You are steady.
You have equipped your team with clarity and care.
And they are ready.
Yes, you’ll refine and improve next year — you always do.
But this year is already built on the big and small changes you put in place long before this week arrived.
Thank you for the work you’ve done — consistently and wholeheartedly — so your pupils can shine.
You’ve got this.
With belief in you,
Sonia ❤️
