Difficult conversations with caretakers have been one of the five most common difficult conversations that exist in almost every school for years.
But since Sept 2023, there has been a big increase in the number of Headteachers who ‘need to talk’ to their caretaker.
Before this academic year, 27% of Headteachers we asked said they needed to have a difficult conversation with their caretaker.
This academic year, that’s risen to 47%! Almost double! Why? I’m not sure.
But can I help? Oh yes I can!
I shared this approach with a Headteacher who used it to great success, the caretaker went from zero to hero in weeks! And he’s been a superstar ever since (3 months and counting).
