Core skills for solving successful difficult conversations A key feature of high performing teams is talking about the tough stuff kindly and effectively.

This session will increase your team’s ability to have far more successful difficult conversations, issues which are a barrier to your school improving.
You will know:
- The three core components you need in place to dramatically improve the success of your difficult conversations.
- Your team will have a common framework for tackling these issues.
- You will know how to fix the difficult conversation you bring to the session.

Adapting your leadership to grow the skills of the team Building on the skills learnt for successful difficult conversations, you will learn ways to make your difficult conversations more effective and strategically grow the skills of your team. You will learn:
- How to further adapt your leadership style.
- Two great tools to help you have more successful difficult conversations and grow the skills of the team.

Phase 2:
How to create a compelling vision that inspires your team
Understand which values underpin your vision and culture Values underpin your vision and your culture because culture is behaviour over time and values tell us what behaviours are most important in your culture.

Values tell us who we are on this journey.
You will:
- Clarify which values are most important to your school.
- Powerfully articulate what those values mean.

Understand the strategic priorities for the exceptional school you will create Great organisations focus on doing fewer things brilliantly rather than lots of things reasonably well. By understanding what your most important priorities are and what they mean for your school, you will do less - better. You will know:
- The strategic priorities that will be the focus for the school you want to create.

Create your compelling vision (am) and Environmental walk around (pm) With your values and strategic priorities in place you are now ready to create your compelling vision, a powerful articulation of why you do what you do and what it is you and your team are creating in your school.

This is crucial to getting your team fully on board with the school you want to create.

A few weeks after this session, you will have a 45 minute call with your lead trainer to fine tune and finalise your vision before we develop the communication to share it for maximum buy-in with your team and community.
You will:
- Create your powerful vision for a great school.

Environment is emblematic of culture and it's a silent teacher, giving out messages to everyone who comes into your school.

We will show you the quick and inexpensive ways you can show a culture of excellence through your school environment – and it’s often not what you think.
You will have:
- An action plan of quick and inexpensive (free) ways to improve your environment.

Create the 3-5 year plan to achieve your vision (am)
Keep your vision alive (pm)
(am) Excellence isn’t achieved in one-year blocks, so we create a plan to let you craft real excellence, year on year with a 3-5 year plan.

(pm) It’s one thing to create your vision, to communicate it well to get everyone on board, but you also need to keep it alive over the years in simple, yet effective ways.
You will have:
- Your 3-5 year plan to create your genuinely outstanding school.
- Know how to define success for each of your strategic priorities.
- A range of simple but effective actions to keep your vision alive.

Phase 3:
How to communicate your compelling vision successfully
Communicating with impact Communication is strongest when it comes directly from a person. We will equip your team with the skills and knowledge to communicate with high impact. You will have:
- Understand the dynamics of communicating with impact.
- Techniques to make your communication more effective.

Communicate your vision so your team can get on board Your vision deserves to be heard with impact. We will show you how to share your vision so that everyone pulls in the same direction to achieve your vision. You will know how:
- To share your vision with the wider team.
- To take a measure of buy in from the team.
